We are delighted to share the official report from the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Malaria and NTDs Parliamentary Delegation visit to Ethiopia in May 2024. This APPG Parliamentary visit was co-organised by the NIHR 5S Foundation and NIHR Global Health Research Unit on NTDs, both programmes based at Brighton and Sussex Medical School’s Centre for Global Health Research.
Parliamentarians visited several site locations of our Ethiopian partners whose work focuses on eradicating Neglected Tropical Diseases. The parliamentarians also attended the highly successful See Me! Policy Event and Exhibition from the 5S Foundation. The delegation had a busy schedule and had the opportunity to see the important work conducted by our programmes at BSMS towards eradicating devastating and often preventable diseases and the report clearly shows the impact that these personal interactions had on the delegation.
