5S Postdocs contribute to the iCHORDS community.

iCHORDs, which stands for Improving Community Health Outcomes through Research, Dialogue and Systems Strengthening, is a platform to collaborate and share expertise to allow for meaningful exchange within the social and behavioural disciplines to address implementation gaps and current issues facing NTD programs.

It currently has 400 members and hosts regular Knowledge exchange and podcast sessions.

In July Dr Gem Aellah Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDRF) for the 5S Foundation was invited to take part on a podcast to discuss using qualitative research methods to enhance Mass Drug Administration that you can listen to here.

Last month, Dr Kibur Engdawork from OSSREA and Dr Richard Kalisa from the University of Rwanda, both PDRFs for the 5S Foundation, were invited to give a talk on “Identifying contextual, setting and implementational factors in podoconiosis reduction social interventions in Ethiopia and Rwanda”.
